McWhinney has leased up an approximately 83,890-square-foot speculative industrial building at Centerra, with Safelite taking roughly half of the space.
The auto glass and claims management company will occupy 41,945 sf in the building at 5195 E. 37th St. in Loveland. The building was completed last spring.
“McWhinney identified a specific need in our community for a Class A distribution facility and designed a building that offers everything a distribution user could want, from dock-high loading and 24-foot clear heights to its central location. For a successful company like Safelite, there’s simply nothing else that can compare to Centerra Industrial in our area,” said Mike Eyer, vice president at CBRE Fort Collins.
Centerra Industrial is the first building in the Centerra Industrial Park, which has direct access to Interstate 25 and U.S. Highway 34. The building has 22 dock doors, two drive-in doors, 52-by-50-foot bay spacing, skylights, ESFR sprinklers and a parking ratio of 1.5:1,000.
Fort Collins-based Toddy, know for its cold-brew coffee brewers, recently leased approximately 42,000 sf in the building.
Eyer and Kyle Lundy, also of CBRE Fort Collins, are the listing brokers and represented McWhinney on the transactions. Bennard Gillison of NAI Capital in Encino, California, represented Safelite.
As part of Centerra, where 7,500 people work, Centerra Industrial has access to 1.5 million sf of retail, including more than 30 restaurants; three hotels; a health club; a Thompson Valley School District K-8 science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics school; and miles of trails and open space.
