Nick Kitaeff leads the retail development platform at Confluent Development. While with Confluent, Nick has led a $27 million dollar redevelopment project in Wheat Ridge, Colo. anchored by Sprouts Farmers Market, a Starbucks drive-through restaurant and a 64-unit MorningStar Senior Living facility. Nick has developed a variety of other retail, restaurant and grocery projects with national tenants including Walmart, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Starbucks Coffee, MOD Pizza, 7-Eleven, Verizon Wireless, Burger King, MedExpress and Taco Bueno in Colorado and across the country. Nick has experience working with the internal real estate and entitlements team and external consultants and contractors on the programmatic roll-out of 11 ground up grocery stores for Walmart Neighborhood Market in Virginia and Oklahoma with a total value of $110 million.
Nick is currently leading the development of The Boulevard in the Lowry neighborhood of Denver. The Boulevard will be a 200,000-square-foot mixed-use retail, restaurant, entertainment and office project anchored by Lucky’s Market.
Nick has participated, led and managed an excess of $170 million in retail development projects in the past 5 years.
Nick began his professional career working as a development intern for The Cresset Group in 2009, a privately held commercial and residential development company in Boston. Nick also worked at Strategic Real Estate Advisors, a commercial brokerage firm in Denver focused on retail and restaurant tenant representation prior to joining Confluent in 2013.
Nick graduated from the University of Denver with a BSBA in international business in 2010. He was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity as well as the Denver Rugby Club. Mr. Kitaeff’s community activities and professional associations:
