Making an Entrance: A Look at the Luxurious Laurel Cherry Creek
BUILDING DIALOGUE
Cherry Creek North is no stranger to luxury, but with the addition of the neighborhood’s tallest for-sale condos, the bar has just been raised. Laurel Cherry Creek, developed by Pauls Corp., is an urban haven that combines the comforts of home with the design of a high-end resort. With 71 homes across 12 stories, Laurel Cherry Creek offers an exclusive 24/7 retreat in one of Denver’s most sought-after neighborhoods.
Our team pulled from our collective expertise in the hospitality industry to deliver a cohesive experience from the outside in, where the needs and expectations of residents are thoughtfully addressed in every detail of the architecture and interior design.
Laurel Cherry Creek is designed to pique the interest of passersby and attract potential residents with a hint of the luxury that lies within. Working closely with the Cherry Creek North District’s design advisory board, Laurel Cherry Creek reflects the materials, structures, scale and details of the surrounding neighborhood, while also adding something exciting and fresh to the fabric of the neighborhood.
Staying true to the design’s emphasis on contrast and balance, the architecture pairs a distinctly clean and simple aesthetic with classic elements and materiality that exudes a rich and timeless elegance. Clad in limestone, the base of the building acts as a grounding element as the eye explores the contemporary metal panels and generous glazing accented by private balconies on the residential levels above.
Understanding the value of a first impression, Laurel Cherry Creek takes curb appeal to a new level with a porte cochère framed in a blocky limestone façade. Designed with strong, angular lines, the mass of the limestone complements the expansive glazing of the lobby, inviting the outdoors in during the day and offering a warm, opulent glow at night.
Upon entering their attended lobby, residents are greeted with 19-foot floor-to-ceiling windows and an impressive multitiered custom chandelier. Designed to be able to accommodate private events, the lobby takes cues from a luxury hotel with a concierge desk, bar area and cozy seating.
The lobby’s palette of white and gray marbles, walnut and brass serves as a backdrop for modern Scandinavian-inspired furnishings, giving the space a light and airy feel. Clean lines, along with layered, classic elements such as portals ground the expansive volume and guide residents and guests from one space to the next. A specially curated art collection featuring the work of several Colorado artists further enriches the resident experience.
As residents make their way up into their homes – ranging from approximately 935 to 4,760 square feet – the resortlike experience continues with carefully detailed elevator lobbies, subtly mirrored elevator cabs, and intimate entries to their residences.
Once inside, the homes welcome residents with ample natural light and city and mountain views via large windows. Each home also features multipanel sliding patio doors and folding glass wall systems that create a seamless indoor/outdoor living experience. Key design features include linear fireplaces, custom cabinetry and professional-grade appliances. The clean lines and luxurious high-end materials and fixtures throughout the residences rival some of the top hotels in the world.
Juxtaposed against the bustling streets below, a rooftop oasis awaits residents and their guests with a saltwater pool flanked by relaxing cabanas and oversized lounge chairs, a summer kitchen with pizza oven, an outdoor grill, conversational seating and a fire pit. As if the unobstructed views of the mountains weren’t enough, the rooftop evokes a strikingly modern feel with a stainless-steel pool lining, carrying the architecture’s emphasis on angular design while also serving the practical purpose of minimizing the potential for cracks and leaking.
Within walking distance to dozens of businesses, including boutiques, spas, salons, galleries and restaurants, residents who call Laurel Cherry Creek home can also enjoy ground-floor restaurant and retail spaces designed to build on the sense of community – both in the neighborhood and among residents. Curtain wall glazing surrounded by limestone angular columns mimics the architecture of the condo lobby, providing a visual connection between the space and the sidewalk to entice patrons. All entrances for the ground-floor restaurant and retail spaces are located on Steele Street to ensure the main lobby remains an exclusive amenity for residents.
With its emphasis on resort-like living centered around high design and amenities to match, Laurel Cherry Creek is setting a new standard for modernity and luxury in Cherry Creek North as the neighborhood continues to evolve with a new generation of residents.
