Adam Sands is the Chief Banking Officer (CBO) for FirstBank, one of the nation’s largest privately-held and top performing banks. As CBO, Adam oversees more than a dozen markets
across Colorado and Arizona, nearly 1,200 employees, and a $16.1 billion loan portfolio. He’s also responsible for driving the bank’s loan and deposit production as well as the company’s overall growth strategy.
Prior to being named CBO, Adam held several leadership roles across the company, including President of FirstBank’s Cherry Creek Market, where he managed several high-performing lending and retail operation teams.
Throughout his career, he gained extensive experience in real estate and commercial financing and went on to receive multiple NAIOP Awards for his contributions to some of Colorado’s most prominent developments.
Adam was previously recognized as Volunteer of the Year by Downtown Denver Partnership and Denver Business Journal’s 40 under 40 for his significant impact on the local nonprofit
and business community. While Adam has served on over a dozen nonprofit boards throughout his career, he currently serves on the Board of Directors for Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, Children’s Hospital Leadership Council and is a member of Young Presidents’ Organization.
