Bill Kyriagis represents real estate, business and government clients in litigation and land use matters in state and federal courts. While Bill has experience with a broad spectrum of commercial litigation, he has built an extensive reputation as a leading land use and real estate development dispute litigator. Regardless of the underlying case, Bill’s clients trust him to find efficient, practical solutions for their matters.

Throughout his career, Bill has developed significant experience litigating with government entities, and he frequently counsels clients through contested approvals and challenges to local land use approvals, including Rule 106(a)(4) claims. He represents landowners in condemnation/eminent domain matters with state and local governments, and he understands complex valuation issues, particularly as they relate to unique properties. Bill has experience litigating constitutional issues in the land use context, including the assertion of First Amendment claims to challenge local land use regulation.

In addition to his land use experience, Bill handles complex real estate and development disputes for property owners, developers, and lenders, including purchase and sale disputes; boundary, easement and encroachment issues; adverse possession and prescriptive easement claims; and landlord/tenant disputes. He also works on disputes involving owners’ associations (HOAs, etc.). He understands both the legal issues involving Colorado’s Common Interest Ownership Act (CCIOA) and the practicalities of dealing with these bodies. Bill has significant experience with special district litigation representing property owners and developers on special district issues, including reimbursements and interactions with other local governments.
