As a licensed structural engineer, Dan began his career designing bridges in Tampa and then buildings in Denver. After becoming the in-house Revit guru for a structural engineering consultancy, he transitioned over to the construction side in 2011 as the co-founder of MB BIM Solutions. Serving general contractors and trade subcontractors, Dan grew MB BIM into a consultancy that provides a variety of BIM, VDC, and construction technology services throughout all stages of design and construction. Dan led MB BIM Solutions through the acquisition by GH Phipps Construction Companies in 2017, and the team now functions as their in-house BIM/VDC department, as well as continuing to serve outside clients. In his current role of Managing Director, Dan leads the team and oversees day-to-day operations of MB BIM Solutions. Responsible for the financial and operational functions, he ensures that MB BIM’s services solve problems for the construction project team, and bring measurable value to the client. Dan leads the service and technology development for MB BIM, constantly evaluating, implementing, and utilizing new software, hardware, and processes in the BIM/VDC market. Dan has been active in sharing Autodesk knowledge as a many-time speaker at Autodesk University, Autodesk webinar presenter, AU Speaker Mentor, AUGIWorld contributor, Revit Beta contributor, and Revit Gunslinger.
