Daniel was born and raised in Colorado, holds a Bachelor Degree in Organizational Leadership from Colorado State University, earned the Certified Economic Developer designation through International Economic Development Council in 2018, and an Executive Certificate in Commercial Real Estate from the University of Colorado in 2023. He has a combined twenty-two years of economic and workforce development experience
As Vice President of Corporate Attraction for Metro Denver EDC, Daniel oversees business development strategies, including promoting and positioning the Colorado Front Range region for corporate investment, expansion and relocation. He also oversees Metro Denver EDC’s Economic Competitiveness Team, which supports the organization, members and the community-at-large with economic data, research and business intelligence. His economic development team facilitates assistance and services for the site selection process, including support of new and expanding businesses, property owners, and developers that engage with communities in the region at all levels, as well as advocacy for business incentives at the State and local levels. Daniel’s team also facilitates the Front Range Economic Collaborative, made up of economic development professionals from nearly 80 communities across the Front Range, supporting regional collaboration in economic development, best practices and professional development.
In previous roles, Daniel served as Executive Director of Arvada Economic Development Association (AEDA) and Manager of Economic Development with the City of Arvada, where he was responsible for leading the AEDA Board of Directors, guiding staff on strategy, prioritizing projects and overall leadership of the organization, including the organization’s loan and grant funding, business retention, attraction, development and marketing activities. Prior he served as the Director of Business Retention for Adams County Economic Development, and served in a Business and Economic Development capacity for Adams County Workforce & Business Center and Arapahoe/Douglas Works! workforce centers.
Daniel currently serves as Past President of the Board of Directors for B:Side Capital and B:Side Fund, and recently completed a term as Co-Chairman of Community Advancement for the International Council of Shopping Centers Rocky Mountain Region. He recently championed the passage of House Bill 23-1189, a tax credit for businesses to contribute to home down payment savings for employees.
