As Managing Director, Dave Martin is responsible for leading NorthMarq’s multifamily investment sales team in Denver, Colorado. Along with co-managing director David Link, he oversees the integration of the office’s debt/equity and investment sales platforms.

Before joining NorthMarq, Dave was a Managing Director – Capital Markets in JLL’s Denver office. There, he was responsible for client relationships, market research and multifamily investment sales in the region. During the past fifteen years at both JLL, and previously at Moran and Company, Dave executed the sales and recapitalizations of more than $6 billion of multifamily assets.

From 1998 to 2003, Dave was an acquisitions partner with Lincoln Property Company in Dallas, Texas where responsible for multifamily acquisitions in the southwestern U.S. Prior to his time with Lincoln, Dave was a lead banker in Nomura Asset Capital Corp’s Dallas, Texas office, which he opened and staffed. Over the course of two years at Nomura, Dave structured and funded in excess of $1.2 billion in CMBS perm debt, preferred equity, construction/perm, and mezzanine debt products for commercial and residential real estate properties.

Dave began his career in 1986 with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company’s Real Estate Investments Department, and held a number of positions during his 11 year tenure – including two-year assignments in both London, England and MetLife’s Real Estate Investment Committee operation in Atlanta, Georgia.

Education:
Dave earned an undergraduate degree in finance from Texas A&M University in May 1986, and obtained a Graduate Certificate in finance from Southern Methodist University in May 1997.
