As Chief Financial Officer, Derek Evans strategically guides McWhinney on all financial matters, including equity, debt and financial forecasting at the enterprise and partnership levels. While maintaining key relationships with bankers, investors and financial service providers, Derek also oversees McWhinney’s Debt Finance and Corporate Finance groups, and
works closely with the company’s executive team on corporate strategy. Specifically, he provides guidance on company and team financial goals, business objectives and presents financial performance and other key metrics to Ownership and the Board of Advisors.

Bringing strong leadership and financial expertise, Derek draws upon more than 20 years of experience with Wells Fargo, one of the largest financial service providers in the world and the largest commercial real estate lender in the United States. Prior to joining McWhinney, Derek was a Managing Director leading the Bank’s Los Angeles Commercial Real Estate Group,
providing a broad range of real estate financial products to public real estate investment trusts, private equity funds, private real estate companies and private developers.
