Hillary Hanson, McKinstry’s Energize Denver Liaison and Associate Account Executive – Hillary has worked in the engineering industry for 10 years, specializing in Colorado-based commissioning innovations, facility condition assessments benefits, and IECC code requirements. Her role with McKinstry focuses on supporting large commercial and healthcare facility clients locally and working with teams to achieve optimal facility performance. As an internal subject matter expert for the Energize Denver program, she works with engineers to identify and execute funding plans for facility optimization and to customize long-term energy plans. She also works with State of Colorado officials to identify upcoming requirements for the Building Performance Standards (BPS) legislation and municipal utilities funding programs in Northern Colorado, Colorado Springs, and Denver.

As a native of Colorado, Hillary spent most of her life enjoying all the activities the state has to offer and her passion lies in slowing climate change. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Emory University and a Graduate Certificate from Harvard Extension School. She serves as an Executive Committees Director for the Colorado Association of Healthcare Engineers and Directors (CAHED) and is on the steering committee for McKinstry’s Womxn’s Alliance. She is an active member of the American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE) and the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS); an active volunteer for the Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence (SPAN) in Boulder; and she spends her free time playing piano and hanging out with her 5-year-old son.
