Mr. Panek is Senior Vice President, Development at Carmel Partners where he manages all aspects of Carmel’s multi-family development activities in Colorado including site acquisition, design, budgeting and coordination with Carmel’s construction company and asset management teams. Since joining Carmel in 2012, Mr. Panek has been involved with the development of over 5,900 units and 150,000 square feet of commercial space (completed and pipeline) in Colorado and California representing nearly $2B in total capitalization.

Mr. Panek is originally from the Bay Area where he previously served as a Development Manager and the Director of Commercial Real Estate for Essex Property Trust, a California based multi-family REIT, where he was responsible for ground-up development of new multifamily apartment projects in the San Francisco Bay Area and oversaw the company’s commercial/retail portfolio.

Mr. Panek received his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
