Since joining FirstBank in 2006, John has served in many roles including managing officer of the company’s secondary market mortgage underwriting function, managing officer of one of three regional credit departments and more traditional client facing roles that include CRE/C&I/development lending and new business acquisition. John was most recently leading Capital Markets for FirstBank before taking the managing role for Commercial Lending Operations.

In his current role, John leads all operational facets of the company’s commercial lending platform including credit analysis, commercial lending policy, loan processing/pre-close transaction review, construction draw management, C&I lending support, Capital Markets and Special Assets.

Outside of the bank, John serves on the Board of Directors for Florence Crittenton Services in Denver
Colorado and is past Treasurer for the Colorado Association of REALTORS® Housing Opportunity Fund
(CARHOF). Prior to joining FirstBank, John served as a Sustainable Economic and Organizational
Development Volunteer with the United States Peace Corps in Kyrgyzstan.

John is a graduate of Colorado State University with a B.S. in Business Administration and earned a
graduate degree in banking from Pacific Coast Banking School in Seattle, Washington.
