Mr. Mesner is responsible for property operations and asset management of the BREG portfolio, including commercial and multi-family properties. Mr. Mesner is a member of the Management Committee, which provides strategic direction for the company.
Experience
Prior to joining Broe, Mr. Mesner was the Sr. Vice President of Asset Management at BMC Investments, where he oversaw commercial, multifamily and hospitality properties. Mr. Mesner spent seven years at Invesco Real Estate, including four years as a Portfolio Manager on the Invesco U.S. Income Fund, a diversified, open-end, core-plus, commingled fund where his role included setting the overall investment strategy of the fund, evaluating new investment opportunities, making strategic asset level decisions, managing the fund balance sheet and leverage, communicating with existing limited partners, and fund raising with prospective investors. Mr. Mesner also spent three years at Invesco in the transactions group, working on equity investment opportunities across product types and was a Director of Acquisitions in the Housing Group at Nuveen Real Estate. Additionally, Mr. Mesner has held real estate positions with Pacific Western Bank, Strategic Investment Group and JLL.
Education
Mr. Mesner earned his B.B.A. in Finance from James Madison University and is a graduate of the James A. Graaskamp Center for Real Estate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he received his M.B.A. in Real Estate.
