Kristin Bertram is currently a Managing Director with E2M Ventures and in charge of E2MV Capital. She has over 15 years of investment experience across the capital the stack with a focus on special situations. She has been directly involved in over $1B of real estate transactions in various capacities including originations, acquisitions, recapitalizations and dispositions. Ms. Bertram was previously Senior Vice President and Head of Originations at iBorrow, a Los Angeles based hard money lender where she was primarily responsible for the origination, underwriting, and management of the Firm’s debt transactions. Prior to iBorrow, she was Vice President of Originations at Hillcrest Finance, a subordinate debt and preferred equity provider based in New York City. Prior to joining Hillcrest, Ms. Bertram was a Senior Asset Manager with Morgan Stanley and oversaw the bank’s balance sheet loan investments. Prior to Morgan Stanley, she was an Assistant Vice President at Hudson Advisors (the asset management subsidiary of Lone Star Funds) and focused on underwriting and asset management of distressed debt and equity investments in addition to portfolio management responsibilities. Prior to Hudson, Ms. Bertram was an Investment and Financial Analyst with Aviv REIT, Inc., a Chicago-based company focused on the acquisition and operations of skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.

Previously, she was an Analyst at Walton Street Capital and worked on the firm’s opportunistic equityinvestments in the U.S. and Mexico.
Ms. Bertram received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin –Madison with a double major in Finance, Investments and Banking and Real Estate and Urban LandEconomics.
