Michael Arvin is Managing Director, Strategy & Development and brings over 25 years of experience as a leading healthcare executive to Meridian. In his role, Mr. Arvin provides strategic advisory to the executive leadership team and provides support for growth initiatives for the company nationwide. Mr. Arvin has extensive leadership experience leading strategy and development for organizations such as Methodist Health System in Dallas, Texas, Tenet Healthcare, US Oncology, HCA Healthcare, and Humana.
In addition, Mr. Arvin has provided consulting and advisory services to health systems, provider groups, investors, boards of directors, private equity firms, and healthcare real estate development firms. His extensive experience includes providing strategic direction and development support for medical offices, ambulatory facilities to include ASC and Cancer Centers, post-acute facilities including freestanding Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities and Behavioral Hospitals.
Mr. Arvin has been a frequent speaker about growth initiatives and strategies and how to succeed in a changing healthcare landscape. He is a board member of the North Texas Commission and previously chaired the Healthcare Committee, has served as a board member of the Texas Healthcare Advisory Council, The Texas Hospital Association and served as chair of HOSPAC, and is a business mentor for Health Wildcatters, a healthcare specific early-stage incubator for startups based in Dallas.
Mr. Arvin was recognized as a Fellow with the Rice Building Institute, a joint program of the School of Architecture / Jones School of Business at Rice University. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and the Graduate Executive Education program at Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC Chapel Hill.
