Michael O’Shaughnessy (“Osh”) serves as Chief Operating Officer of Bissell Street and is responsible for overseeing portfolio/asset management as well as the day-to-day operations of the firm. Osh has been investing in real estate for over 25 years, managing portfolios of office, retail, multifamily residential, hotel, industrial, manufactured housing and storage investments in the U.S. and Europe. He has focused on opportunistic and value-add investments, including creative office conversions, life sciences adaptive reuse and mixed-use development and redevelopment projects. During his career, he has worked closely with global and local architects, designers, land planners and contractors and had responsibility for over $20 billion in projects.

Prior to forming Bissell Street, Osh was a Senior Managing Director at Northwood Investors, an $8 billion AUM real estate private investment firm based in Denver. As the Global Head of Asset Management, he oversaw the firm’s investment portfolio and a team of 20 professionals. Osh also was responsible for overseeing the firm’s valuation process, risk management and annual budget and asset management plans. He spent over nine years at Northwood and opened the company’s largest office in Denver. Earlier in his career, Osh was an Executive Director at UBS AG, where he was head of North American real estate investments for Global Wealth Management and portfolio manager for the UBS Global Wealth Management – North American Property Fund, a $6 billion multi asset class direct property fund. Prior to that, he held senior asset management positions with Investcorp International in New York and Transwestern Investment Company in Chicago.
He started his career at Lasalle Partners in 1994.

Osh received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University and his M.B.A., with honors, from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
