Mickey Zeppelin is a Denver native, graduate of Berkeley Law School and practiced law for 7 years.  Since then, he has been involved in real estate for the last 40+ years.

In the late 1980’s, Zeppelin Development was founded with the idea that real estate is the basis of promoting urban values.  The built environment is an enduring means of embodying values, beginning with Zeppelin’s premise that “everyone is important.”  By creating special places, with great design, the arts, the environment, recognizing history and providing environments that encourage fun, are stimulating and dynamic and delicious, there is individuality and community.

Mickey Zeppelin and his son Kyle have dedicated the last 40 years to building communities in Cherry Creek, Lower Downtown, the Golden Triangle and RiNo.  The program is to develop human centric opportunities in undeveloped or overlooked areas.  This provides opportunity to work with existing property owners, city agencies, construction contractors and persistent efforts to overcome barriers and make “place.”

Mickey has contributed to the evolution of Denver, serving on the steering committees for Downtown Denver, Central Platte Valley, Lower Downtown and the Golden Triangle and RiNo.  He co-founded and was the first president of the Lower Downtown District and served on the boards of the 16th Street Mall Management and Business Improvement Districts.  He has received numerous awards for his civic leadership as well as for the quality of his developments.

Mickey and Kyle have persisted in providing a new paradigm for Denver design.  Together they have made RiNo the center for innovation with projects like The Source, family housing, creative design and continued efforts to make the city accountable to the important values of Denver.  To date, they have developed more than 600,000 square feet, providing housing and office for more than 1,000 people.  New projects include The Source Hotel, Flight, Zeppelin Station and Freight Residences.  Nearly 1,000 people and 100 businesses are on the TAXI campus.
