Prior to joining McWhinney, Omar served as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Partner at Geolo Capital in San Francisco from 2015 to 2023. There, he was instrumental in transitioning the firm from a hotel equity investment platform to a diversified real estate
platform. His accomplishments include leading significant transactions, optimizing investment performance, and establishing strong financial and operational strategies. Omar’s tenure at Geolo Capital was preceded by key roles at Playa Hotels & Resorts, One&Only Resorts, and Kerzner
International Limited, where he honed his skills in finance, strategic planning, and operational excellence. His career is characterized by a relentless pursuit of growth, a commitment to mentoring talent, and a dedication to fostering a collaborative and high-performing work
