Steve Cohen has overseen commercial real estate transactions for his clients, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and debt and equity financings and restructurings, for almost 30 years. He regularly represents clients in all industry classes, including office, multifamily, retail shopping centers, industrial properties and raw land. As part of his transactional practice, Steve assists clients in structuring partnerships and limited liability companies, including providing advice as to management, economic structure, exit strategies and tax considerations.
In recent years, Steve has acted as lead counsel for one of the most active purchasers of manufactured housing communities in the country, overseeing all components of that client’s legal activities, including fundraising, acquisitions and financing.
Additionally, Steve focuses on the resort and hotel industry, representing owners, operators and developers. From 1997 through 2006, Steve was an integral part of the team that was primary counsel for the largest owner and operator of ski resorts in North America. During that time, he directed all of that client’s resort acquisitions and financing activities throughout the United States. Steve continues to focus on hotel and resort transactions, including purchases and sales, hotel management agreements, joint venture agreements and financing transactions.
