Born and raised in Ohio, Stu came to Colorado after graduating from Miami University in 1981 with a BA in Economics. Stu started his real estate career in 1984 with what is now CBRE, focusing on office leasing and investment brokerage. After ten years as a broker with CBRE, in 1995, Stu started Ogilvie Properties, Inc. (OPI), a commercial real estate investment company. OPI acquires office, industrial and retail properties and then implements a value enhancement strategy for each project. OPI’s current portfolio comprises of one retail and eight office properties totaling 600,000 square feet. As President of OPI, Stu is in charge of all acquisition and development activity and oversees all the other aspects of the company.
Stu was a Board Trustee of the Denver International School, a full language immersion elementary school in French, Spanish and Mandarin and was a Trustee of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He has been a member of the Board for Seniors Inc., an advocacy group for seniors. He also has been a fundraiser for the American Diabetes Association.
