Cornelius Baliukonis is the Capital Markets Director, responsible for developing and managing relationships with real estate lenders and investors, leading underwriting, and structuring and executing capital solutions across the capital stack for clients nationwide.

Prior to joining Pine and Peak Capital, Cornelius held roles at First Draw Capital, Slatt Capital, and George Smith Partners, where he advised on and executed debt and equity placements for commercial real estate transactions. Over the course of his career, he has structured and closed financings across all major asset classes, totaling more than $1B in total transaction volume, including permanent, bridge, construction, and subordinate debt, as well as preferred and joint venture equity, with a focus on delivering efficient execution in complex capital environments.

Before his career in real estate finance, Cornelius was a world-ranked amateur golfer, earning multiple national titles and competing internationally. He played Division I golf at Loyola Marymount University.
