Checkr leases 92,447 sf at 18th Street Atrium

Checkr will occupy the majority of the building at 1621 18th St. in Lower Downtown Denver.

Checkr Inc. signed an 11-year lease for 92,447 square feet of office space at the 18th Street Atrium in Lower Downtown Denver.

The San Francisco-based background check company selected Denver for its second headquarters earlier this year and has been operating out of co-working space.

The first phase of build-out at the Atrium, located at 1621 18th St., will accommodate approximately 500 seats.

“We’ve been very encouraged by the growth we’ve seen so far across our teams here in Denver, and we’re excited to continue to invest in the local community and economy for the long term,” said David Patterson, Checkr’s HQ2 site lead.

The company will occupy the Atrium’s first through third floors, along with the garden level. Mortenson Construction is located on the fourth floor.

Kirsty Cameron of Savills represented Checkr in the lease. Chris Phenicie, Hilary Barnett and Allison Berry of CBRE represented the landlord, Stoltz Real Estate Partners.

Studio BBA is designing Checkr’s new space.
