The Magnolia Denver, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, has completed a major four-year renovation that included enhancements to meeting spaces, the ballroom, rooms and suites, and public spaces, including the lobby, fitness rooms and Harry’s Bar & Grill.
The renovation pays homage to the building’s roots as the First National Bank building while incorporating modern touches. During the renovation, a bank vault was discovered behind a wall and was incorporated into meeting space.
“The completion of this renovation is a major milestone for the Magnolia Denver, and we are excited to show off the history of the building alongside a chic new design that will delight any size group, meetings and leisure travelers,” said Jason Horonzy, general manger. “As one of the original boutique experiences in Denver hospitality, this historic gem is an urban oasis for travelers seeking a home away from home.
Located at 818 17th St., the Magnolia first opened in 1910 as First National Bank, Colorado’s oldest continuously operating bank. The newly refurbished lobby features a wall lined with vintage safety deposit boxes, along with white marble wall accents and brass fixtures.
The Holtze family opened he Magnolia Denver in 1995 and still operates the hotel’s management company, Stout Street Hospitality.
