MAX Construction builds Denver’s Gill Foundation HQ
Saiber Saiber Architecture of Denver and MAX Construction Inc., a Denver-based tenant finish construction firm, recently completed a high-end tenant finish build-out for the Gill Foundation, located in the Triangle Building at 1550 Wewatta St.
Each element is unique and a specific response to the client’s needs. The distinctive glass and steel boardroom walls, individual glass-and-wood CEO office wall and the curved wood presentation wall speak to the nature of the client and its mission.
“The design of the foundation’s space reflects its altruistic and noble goals,” said Amanda Mixon, AIA, LEED AP, of Saiber Saiber. “The space provides an inspiring environment in which to carry out their work.”
The client’s immediate involvement and singular focus on the design early in its development created the perfect space mingling their functional needs and aesthetic desires, according to Mixon. A rising wood slat ceiling, which pulls entrants immediately into the suite, like a vortex, and highly detailed finishes guide guests through the space for an inspiring experience.
The client worked with the design team to select every finish and fixture, creating a collaborative space. The selection of the Triangle Building was the first design decision the client made. The use of terrazzo flooring and clear vertical grain fir in the base building was reintroduced extensively in the client’s space, which made for a seamless transition from public to private.
