Mueller wins medal from ARES
Dr. Glenn Mueller won the David Ricardo Medal at the 35th annual meeting of the American Real Estate Society in honor of his major research contributions in real estate market cycles and real estate investment trusts.
The Ricardo medal is ARES’ highest recognition of scholarly work in the real estate discipline. His seminal 1995 article separating the real estate cycle into the physical (occupancy and rent) versus financial cycle (capital flows and prices) is now a universally accepted standard. With more than 100 quarterly issues of Mueller’s Real Estate Market Cycle Report since 1992, it is read by thousands of professionals, referenced in textbooks, and used in professional designation courses and university classes.
Mueller is a professor at University of Denver’s Burns School of Real Estate & Construction Management and a real estate investment strategist at Black Creek Group.
