The Downtown Denver Partnership has released the 2016 Downtown Denver Development Map detailing projects that have been completed or are currently under construction since January 2011. Currently, $4.4 billion of total investment in development has been completed or is under construction in downtown Denver, totaling 73 projects, 3.1 million square feet of office space, 6,447 residential units and 2,457 hotel rooms. These projects add a total of 599 stories to the center city.
“Developers are responding to increased demand for residential housing, office space and hotel rooms propelled by strong population and job growth, as well as key public sector investments,” said Tami Door, president and CEO of the Downtown Denver Partnership. “We produce this report as a tool to help developers, realtors, brokers and others tell the powerful story behind downtown Denver and to encourage continued investment.”
Intended for developers, investors and brokers interested in downtown Denver, the Downtown Denver Development Map highlights key investments within the boundaries for downtown Denver as defined in the 2007 Downtown Area Plan. The annual map is intended to show a historical perspective of downtown development by highlighting projects completed in the past five years in addition to projects under construction.
