Alex Staneski was named vice president of leasing and acquisitions in NewMark Merrill Companies‘ Longmont office in 2019. He is responsible for developing and managing the firm’s pipeline of shopping center acquisitions, development projects and property management assignments in addition to supporting the company’s leasing efforts throughout the Rocky Mountain region. Prior to joining NewMark Merrill, Mr. Staneski served as assistant vice president of asset management and acquisitions for Broad Street Realty, where he was responsible for managing the firm’s 1 million-square-foot retail portfolio. Alex brings expertise in all phases of acquisitions and leasing, including negotiations, finance due diligence, predevelopment analysis, and project execution. Mr. Staneski has also spent significant time at fortune 500 companies including Amazon.com. He is involved as member of the CU Real Estate Alumni Committee and the International Council of Shopping Centers. Mr. Staneski holds his MBA in Real Estate and Finance from University of Colorado Boulder and received his undergraduate degree in Supply Chain and Information Systems from Penn State University. He was also a member of the track field team at Penn State.
