Previously, as Vice President of Research at the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), Dr. Loder co-led the Global Research Agenda on Health, Well-Being, and the Built Environment and served as lead author of the 2023 12 Competencies for Measuring Health and Well-Being—a global framework for organizational performance. She also expanded IWBI’s pre-approved survey provider program by 2,500%, strengthening how WELL Certified projects measure occupant health and experience.

A Fulbright Scholar with over fifteen years of interdisciplinary experience, Dr. Loder bridges science, strategy, and facilitation to help organizations measure what matters. Her work integrates health, equity, and sustainability metrics to foster resilient, people-centered systems. She holds a PhD from the University of Toronto, teaches human factors in design and planning at CU Boulder, and is the author of Small-Scale Urban Greening: Creating Places of Health, Creativity, and Ecological Sustainability (Routledge, 2020).
