As Development Executive Brent is responsible for managing the entire spectrum of developments, including strategy, sourcing, project management, operations, partnerships and financing. Brent’s role aligns across Mortenson’s industry-leading integrated development and construction attributes that include site identification, tenant procurement, financial feasibility, debt and equity financing, government entitlements,
design and construction oversight. Since 2016 Brent has led Mortenson’s partnership with Mayo Clinic to create and to develop Mayo’s first life science project called One Discovery Square in 2019. The success of the project has led Brent to starting the next phase of development with Two Discovery Square in 2020. Through his experience with Mayo Clinic and facilitating the creation of the innovation ecosystem in Rochester, Brent is advancing other Life Science initiatives for Mortenson in collaboration with the 13 different offices across the country. Brent has a track record of collaboratively leading teams with multiple stakeholders to successfully deliver projects through planning, development, design, construction and lease-up.
