Chelsea Rosty grew up in Grand Junction, Colorado. She is a graduate of the University of Wyoming. While in Laramie, Chelsea competed on the UW Rodeo team and studied Marketing and Economics. She has 13 years’ experience in marketing and community development with an emphasis in community engagement and the outdoor industry.
In her current role as Director of Business Innovation, Chelsea manages the city’s DART (Development and Revitalization Team) where historic preservation and local business vitality are primary focuses. Through DART, Chelsea handles the administration of the city’s business and workforce housing incentives program. Additionally, she oversees communication as well as guest services for the city.
Chelsea writes the “Corner of Innovation & Opportunity” column on a weekly basis for the Montrose Daily Press.
She loves running, CrossFit, reading, writing, and animals (specifically MinPins). Hidden talent: roller skating. Chelsea used to deliver food on roller skates as her high school job! She and her family enjoy travel and have been on many great adventures together.
