Wilson brings 33 years of experience in hospitality and finance to his role as Managing Partner at Dakota Ridge. Since 1999 Wilson has been responsible for assisting clients with development, acquisition, disposition, financing, distressed assets/workouts, operations oversight and asset management for hotel projects both domestically and abroad. Wilson has a breadth of expertise in brand and management selection/negotiations,  managing capital expenditures, securing public subsidy, including bonds, HTCs, TIF and TOT, negotiating collective bargaining agreements, securing tenant leases and parking services and implementing Food & Beverage expense strategies. In 2004, Wilson served as interim Chief Executive Officer for The Savoy Group, the owner and operator for four of London’s finest 5-star luxury hotels. While heading this $1.3 billion entity, his responsibilities included acquisition due diligence, operations management and disposition support, as well as investment advisory work on behalf of the group’s hotels. Wilson also served as Senior Vice President at Sage Hospitality Resources where he oversaw areas of operations, marketing and human resources. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, the real estate executive worked for several large third-party hotel operators overseeing troubled hotel portfolios and turning their performance around.

Over the last several years, Wilson has represented private sellers on over $500 million in hotel disposition assignments and currently asset manages an $1.5 billion portfolio of operating and in development full and select service hotels for institutional investors. Wilson is a graduate of Furman University (B.A. in history) and the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver (M.B.A.). He is an active member of the Hotel Asset Managers Association (HAMA), former Adjunct Faculty at The Fritz Knobel School of Hotel Management at The University of Denver and a regular guest speaker at industry conferences and events.
