Professional Background

David Treadwell is a managing director with Newmark Knight Frank’s Multifamily Capital Markets Debt & Structured Finance group in the firm’s Denver office. He specializes in financial advisory services for multifamily apartments and industrial, office, medical office, retail and hospitality properties.

Mr. Treadwell joined NKF in early 2019, after serving as first vice president of CBRE’s Debt & Structured Finance division in Denver. While serving in that position, he completed nearly $1 billion in real estate transactions. Mr. Treadwell began at CBRE in 2012 following its acquisition of the servicing portfolio owned by Johnson Capital of Colorado.

Mr. Treadwell began his career in commercial real estate financing with Johnson Capital in 2010, after practicing commercial real estate and transactional law at the law firm of Montgomery, Little and McGrew. His background in commercial real estate law and land development provides him with a unique and diverse perspective for creatively structuring deals.

Mr. Treadwell is the former placekicker for the Denver Broncos and New York Giants. He was also a Pro Bowl placekicker and received All-AFC and All-Rookie honors in addition to starting in Super Bowl XXIV.

Personal Affiliations

Active in the Denver civic community since 1989, Mr. Treadwell currently serves on the board of the Denver Broncos Alumni Association. He has also received numerous awards for his charitable contributions. Family is the highlight of Mr. Treadwell’s life; he is married and has three children.

Education

Mr. Treadwell earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver College of Law in 1996, at the conclusion of his professional football career. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a minor in business from Clemson University. A consensus All-American for the Clemson Tigers football team, Mr. Treadwell was inducted into the Clemson Athletic Hall of Fame in 1997.
