Emily plays an integral role in the Partnership’s place-based approach to economic development with an emphasis on office, technology, retail, and housing. Her project management, strategic planning, business development, and business retention work supports the Partnership in achieving the ambitious goal of creating an economically vibrant city center. Emily joined the Partnership from New York City, where she spent 5 years working on both the public and private sides of large-scale, mixed-use development projects. At the New York City Economic Development Corporation, she provided project management and analysis for sales and leases of city property that maximized the return to the city while promoting broader economic development goals. Most recently, she served as a Development Manager with Forest City New York, focusing on The Tata Innovation Center, a 230,000 SF creative office building built as part of the new Cornell Tech campus on New York’s Roosevelt Island. Emily has a Master’s in Urban Planning Degree from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design and a BA in International Economics and Business from UNC-Chapel Hill.
