As Director of Hospitality Investments, Grant primarily focuses on growing the McWhinney hotel portfolio by sourcing and winning hospitality development and acquisition deals that meet McWhinney’s investment criteria and align with the company’s defined business plan.
Grant’s experience in acquisitions, dispositions, asset management, equity and debt procurement, and development services have been instrumental helping to grow the McWhinney hospitality portfolio. He played an instrumental part in the company’s most recent hospitality development projects, including the AC Hotel in Portland, The Elizabeth in Fort Collins, The Maven in Denver, Hyatt House DIA acquisition, Hyatt Place development at Denver International Airport, and Hyatt Place Seaport District in Boston.
Grant began his career in hotel operations and moved into the hotel real estate investment sector with HVS Capital Corporation and most recently HREC Investment Advisors where he valued over $2.5 billion of hotel assets in 35 states and assisted with the marketing of 49 properties in most segments of the hospitality industry. Grant is a graduate of the University of Denver with a BSBA in Hospitality Management.
