James C. Turpen is the Chief Executive Officer of Centum Health Properties. He is responsible for business development, acquisitions/dispositions, ground up development and leasing.

Prior to founding CHP, James was Vice President of Healthcare for Aardex LLC, a Colorado based sustainable real estate developer and design builder. During his time at Aardex, James led the development of the St. Anthony North medical office building as well as several other development initiatives.

Before Aardex, James was the Chief Executive Officer for InSite Properties, Inc. InSite has been a dominant player in Colorado medical real estate for over 25 years, performing property management, leasing, construction coordination and acquisitions. At InSite, James was responsible for overall client satisfaction as well as acquisitions of new properties. James led the acquisition of approximately $75 million of on campus medical office buildings.

James has over fifteen years experience in the field of healthcare real estate. His experience includes leasing over one million square feet of healthcare space, managing several million square feet of medical office space, ground up development, management of physician tenant improvements, acquisition and brokerage of over $100 million of healthcare real estate, coordination of the facility side of JACHO review and more.

James graduated from Texas Christian University with a degree in business management, has a strong affiliation with the Building Owners and Managers Association’s medical office conference and the University of Denver’s Masters of Science in Real Estate and Construction Management program. In his free time James enjoys spending time flying, travel, golf and philanthropic pursuits.
