Mr. Schmitz recently finished his 21 years of service as Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer for Citywide Banks of Colorado, Inc. At $1.4 billion, Citywide Banks was a 53-year-old family institution which was recently sold to a public company in July, 2017. Jeff has retired from banking and now runs his family office and its investments.

At Citywide Banks Jeff’s direct reports included marketing, human resource, mortgage operations, IT and Deposit operations. Jeff also coordinated capital raises for Citywide Banks and personally raised over $20 mm in capital through local contacts within the business community of Denver.
Jeff received a Banker of Distinction award by the Colorado Bankers Association and served as Chairman of the association for 1 year.

Prior to the bank, Jeff was the co-founder and President of Jam.Logic Designs. Jam.Logic was a startup software design company which developed and sold HR Task Counselor, an HR department in a box for small businesses. Jeff and his partners sold the company in the mid 1990’s.

Mr. Schmitz has served on many community boards including Colorado PGA Foundation, past-chair Machebeuf High School, past-chair Legatus Colorado, Von Miller’s Von’s Vision, Colorado Civil Justice League, Finance committee member of the Catholic Archdiocese of Northern Colorado, and Advisory Board Member Gonzaga University Business School.

Mr. Schmitz graduated from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. He holds an undergraduate degree in finance. Jeff has been married to Marcie for 31 years and has two daughters Hannah (29), and Madison (27).
