Jim brings over four decades of Lodging Industry experience to every consulting assignment for Nelms Hospitality Brokerage  (NHB) Customers.    His broad array of hospitality experience includes, restaurant management, full servce hotel operations, third party management services, franchise administration, site selection, ground up development, capital sourcing, all augering  into a unique skill set that has rendered NHB a major player in the Rocky Mountain region for hospitality brokerage since 1992.     NHB Customers benefit from Jim’s experience thru the decades of cycles.   As market demand gradually regains momentum, and development plans are revived, major franchise brands look to NHB and the market knowledge its Principal possesses.     Creative deal structures and capital sourcing continue to serve NHB customers in the Rocky Mountain region.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management from OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY, a Master of Science in Hospitality Administration from PURDUE UNIVERSITY.   He was awarded   the Certified Hotel Administrator designation in 1984 by the American Hotel and Lodging Association.  He served as an Allied Member on the Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association Board from 1993-1996.  He has held a Colorado Real Estate broker’s license since 1992 and has been the recipient of multiple top producer annual awards from the Denver Metro Commercial Association of Realtors.  He resides and offices in Highlands Ranch, CO.
