After starting his career at CBRE in the early 1990s, Jim spent more than 17 years working for a mix of national and international real estate brokerage firms. Most of that time was spent representing office space users.
In 2012, Jim was recruited by IWG (Regus), the largest coworking/executive suites platform in the world, to manage and expand the company’s presence in the Mountain Region including Colorado,
Utah and Wyoming. Jim developed a 3-tier strategy to identify and secure new locations in the region, and diligently grew the portfolio by over 20%.
Jim returned to CBRE in 2015 to establish, manage and grow a salary-based Transaction Services Team, focused on supporting local brokerage professionals by implementing local and multi-market small and medium sized business, before being recruited by WeWork in 2020 to run the Sales Organization in their Mountain-West portfolio.
At WeWork, Jim was responsible for running Sales within a 3-state territory including Colorado, Utah, and Arizona. The portfolio included approximately one million square feet of office space, located in 15 assets. In addition to running the sales team, Jim was responsible for developing real estate brokerage relationships, and working with WeWork’s national accounts teams to proactively target enterprise requirements in the Mountain-West, as well as WeWork’s Real Estate team to identify and secure new building opportunities.
Having worked in both site acquisition and sales within the two largest flex space operators in the world, Jim has in depth knowledge of the flexible space industry, including management structures, operations and trends. While vastly different organizations the two firms remain on the frontline of return-to-work strategies.
