John Borst is the Director of Operations and Development at Borst & Co with experience spanning real estate development, construction, and asset operations. He previously founded and scaled Modworks, a Co-working platform prior to its acquisition, and has led operations for the Petroleum Building in downtown Denver for a decade.

Most recently, John has played a key role in the adaptive reuse of the Petroleum Building, helping lead its conversion from a commercial office tower into multifamily housing. He has worked closely with design teams and the City of Denver to navigate entitlements, advance project design, and support policy initiatives related to adaptive reuse and energy-efficient redevelopment.
