Kathie Barstnar

Kathie is a graduate of Washburn University with a major in Political Science and a minor in History.

She has been in the association management industry since 1977, working with professional societies, trade associations and corporations, both national and international.

Since 1996, Kathie has used a combination of personal experience, knowledgeable staff and state-of-the-art technology to create and nurture an efficient and effective firm, which excels at the functions inherent in a vital organization providing support and management to professional societies, trade associations and corporations, both national and international. Her company has provided over 22 years of service to their clients.

Her success has been recognized by clients and business associations alike. She is a two time winner of the Chapter Executive Director of the Year Award from NAIOP – the Commercial Real Estate Development Association. She was honored two more times for her work on the development of a detailed written strategic plan for NAIOP Colorado’s Legislative Advocacy Program. In 2017 she received the coveted Capitol Dome Award for her work on energy benchmarking and construction defect litigation reform. Kathie was also recognized twice as a Finalist in the Denver Business Journal Power Book awards in the Commercial Real Estate category. This event recognizes C-level executives who are considered among Denver’s most influential business leaders.

In 2016, Kathie was instrumental in starting the Colorado Real Estate Alliance, a coalition of real estate related organizations, and she served as chair in 2016 and 2017. She continues to serve on the leadership team as the immediate past chair.

She continues to pursue activities in several professional associations on both a local and national level. She was a participant in the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation’s Legacy Denver Program. She is a graduate of the Leadership Program of the Rockies and the LPR Graduate School of Persuasion.
