Megan currently serves as a Deputy Director at the State of Colorado DOLA Division of Housing, focused on the creation and preservation of affordable housing and eviction prevention. Prior to this role, she served as a Senior Housing Policy Advisor for Colorado’s Governor Jared Polis. There, she worked to facilitate the Governor’s housing priorities in legislation, policy, and departmental processes and budgets. Prior to this role, she was the Capital Projects Director at the City of Denver’s Department of Housing Stability. There she directly and indirectly facilitated and financed the development of approximately 3,000 units of housing, as well as 100’s of shelter options. She also serves as part-time lecturer in Real Estate Development and Finance at the University of Colorado Denver. Prior to the City of Denver, she served in various nonprofit and consulting roles while finishing her Masters in Urban and Regional Planning Degree at the University of Colorado Denver. Prior to changing careers, she worked in governmental consulting (IBM) and international partner program management capacities (DigitalGlobe and GeoEye). She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and International Relations. Megan lives in Denver in a multigenerational household with her husband, daughter, two dogs, and father-in-law. She enjoys music, art, and all the beauty and recreation that Colorado has to offer.
