Clayton serves as Mercy Housing’s Senior Vice President of Portfolio Management. She joined the organization in 2012 and brings to her role more than 27 years of experience in the field of property management and asset management. In her current position, Clayton has responsibility for all facets of the National Portfolio which include asset management on the company’s three billion dollar diverse multi-family portfolio and all real estate transactions which includes asset refinances, restructures and dispositions. Prior to joining Mercy Housing, Clayton served as Vice President of Asset Management at Affordable Equity Partners, Inc. overseeing the asset management function of over 400 assets in the Southeast and Midwest. Prior to joining Affordable Equity Partners, Inc., Clayton was the Senior Vice President of Asset Management for the country’s largest LIHTC syndicator, Chartermac/Centerline, Inc.  Clayton was responsible for the Centerline’s lease-up and watch list properties around the nation.  Prior to joining Centerline, Inc., Clayton was the Regional Vice President of Property Management for AIMCO, Inc. and was based in Atlanta, Georgia.  Clayton worked at Insignia/AIMCO for thirteen years and was responsible for 15,000 units of market rate multi-family housing in Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina. Clayton attended the University of Houston.  She resides in Colorado with her husband, daughter and son.
