Michael Gradis is currently a Senior Planner for the City of Centennial, CO. He is the lead development review planner in a community known as the “Contract City” due to its innovative public-private service delivery partnerships and business responsive approach to development. Prior to Centennial, Michael worked for the Town of Cary, NC and Michigan-based McKenna Associates providing bread and butter Planning Services which included reviewing small and large-scale commercial, residential and mixed-use projects with strict aesthetic and landscaping requirements. Michael has an undergraduate degree in Social Relations and Policy (James Madison College) from Michigan State University and a Master’s of Urban Planning from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Professional interests include site planning, walkability, form-based site design, inclusive housing, objective-based approvals, and pushing the limit on the social constructs of zoning.
