Born and raised in Denver, CO Michael Marquez is the Western United States Regional Vice President of Development for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts overseeing the development of Wyndham’s Iconic Brands. A current resident of Arvada, CO Michael has been in the Hospitality Industry and more specifically franchise sales for 30 years. He earned a Business degree from University of Colorado in 1988 where he earned a football scholarship. Michael started his career in as a franchise sales director in 1992 with Hospitality Franchise Systems. In 1994, he accepted a similar position at Choice Hotels International where he spent nearly 18 years in both franchise sales and sales management. With brief stops at Candlewood, Red Roof, and Red Lion, Michael has unique perspectives from several major hotel franchising organizations. Michael rejoined Wyndham Hotels & Resorts in his current role nearly three years ago. He has been married to his wife Cindi for 31 years and has three children…Jordan, Talia, and Ryan.
