Paul Jesaitis brings 25 years of diverse leadership, highway design and construction background to CDOT.  He is currently serving as the Region 1 Transportation Director, which encompasses the eight counties of Clear Creek, Gilpin, Jefferson, Douglas, Arapahoe, Adams, Broomfield, Denver and the City of Westminster.  He leads an amazing team of over 800 employees who are responsible for all aspects of Program Delivery, Maintenance, Traffic and Safety Operations for the three million residents who live within Region 1.  Prior to working for CDOT, Paul worked for the Federal Highway Administration and the California Department of Transportation.

Over his career Paul has been committed to making Department improvements through his leadership in various committees and by demonstrating a great ability of delivering large projects for the Department.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. He lives in Lakewood, Colorado with his wife and two kids and spends most of his free time bicycling and skiing.
