Ryan McDermed is Vice President of Forward Planning of the Colorado division of Shea Homes, the largest privately-owned builder in the United States. Throughout his 19 years at Shea Homes, he has overseen the acquisition, entitlement, development and build-out of several master-planned communities, including Highlands Ranch, Reunion and Stepping Stone. More recently, the division has acquired, entitled and developed The Canyons, a 1,270-unit master-planned community in Castle Pines; Crescendo at Central Park, an award-winning neighborhood in Highlands Ranch; Solstice, a single-family residential community in Douglas County featuring 1,100 homes; and, Lyric, a mixed-use community planned for approximately 2,000 units in Lone Tree.

Prior to his tenure with Shea Homes, he worked in heavy civil construction with roles in engineering, estimating and project/construction management. Ryan is also a proud graduate of the Colorado School of Mines!
