Scott Kline is a seasoned commercial banker with over 20 years of finance and lending experience. He joined Canvas Credit Union (formerly known as Public Service Credit Union) in 2014 to aid in the establishment and growth of the credit union’s commercial real estate portfolio. In just four and a half years Canvas’ CRE portfolio has grown from $50MM to nearly $300MM with financings across multiple asset classes including retail, multi-family, office, industrial, mixed use, self-storage, hospitality, medical office, and health care.

Prior to joining Canvas Credit Union, Mr. Kline worked in large money-center banks including Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, and US Bank. While at Morgan Stanley, Mr. Kline was a District Banking & Lending Director responsible for the management of a multi-state territory with a focus on the origination and management of a $500MM commercial real estate portfolio (both owner-user and investment), C&I (commercial & industrial) debt origination, and structured financing solutions for institutions and HNW individuals. At JP Morgan, as a VP of the Denver market, Mr. Kline managed a commercial and private banking team that provided tailored lending solutions for commercial businesses and HNW individuals, with a focus on investment and owner-occupied CRE lending, securities based lending, fine art finance, and customized credit solutions for complex borrowers. As a VP at US Bank, Mr. Kline developed and managed a $200MM book of credit and managed money business, concentrating on professional service corporations and its key partners.

Mr. Kline attended Ohio Wesleyan University and graduated with a B.A. in finance and history. He is a member of DMCAR, ABA (American Bankers Association), RMA (The Risk Management Association), FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority), and the California MBA. While not working, Mr. Kline enjoys spending time with his family pursuing such activities as skiing, tennis, hiking, and swimming.
