Steve Niparko currently is Aon’s Strategic Account Manager in its Global Construction Services Group, with a central focus for results of delivering best-in-class risk solutions and creation of new approaches for clients to deliver best-in-class legal and risk solutions to improving efficiencies in operations, lowering risk and achieving excellence in delivery of services.  His specific expertise is in Alternative Project Delivery and Public Private Partnership contractual and risk management and applies the skills and business intelligence to produce innovative results and approaches – “new ways of doing things.”

He serves as a risk advisor of Public Private Partnerships working with Global consortiums on risk assessment and management of contractual and project risks and underwriting and submissions and implementation in public infrastructure, including Housing, Transportation and Commuter, Communications, and Social Impact projects, and recently as acting as the risk advisor for P3 projects in the US and Canada projects in excess of $5B.

Steve’s legal and risk management experience in the A/E/C industry includes public and private experience in development and is based upon maximizing his clients’ business opportunities through balancing sound risk management and commercial practices. Before joining Aon, Steve served as the Chief Legal Officer for ARCADIS North America. His responsibilities included operations in North/South/Latin America, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia managing all legal, contract and risk management operations, mergers and corporate governance. Steve also played an essential role in the $3B Denver International Airport project, including the development of effective contracting and risk management processes; and continued on as counsel for the environmental management of the decommissioned airport and its redevelopment.

Mr. Niparko’s education as a civil engineer and attorney and over 30-years experience in all aspects of the construction and development industry has given him a strong and insightful ability to provide strategic guidance and direction of implementation for success in business markets.

Notwithstanding his commitment to the demands of his clients and projects, Steve looks to find the time to enjoy the quality of life afforded by being located in Boulder, Colorado; and as an avid hiker, recently completed a trek on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.
