After graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a BS in Engineering, Tim Walsh served 8 years in the United States Army Corps of Engineers. His duty assignments included leading combat engineers in Germany, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq during Operation Desert Storm. After the military, Tim earned a Master Degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management from Stanford University.   Tim assumed a project management position a general contractor in the San Francisco Bay area. In California, Tim managed the construction of semiconductor manufacturing facilities, biotech facilities, and marine research laboratories.  Tim moved on to assist in the development of Mortenson’s Advanced Technology Construction Group. With this group, Tim led large project teams in the construction of ultra-fast track semiconductor facilities in Massachusetts and Colorado and multiple telecommunication facilities in Brazil. Tim was then promoted to a Vice President, where he led Mortenson’s Colorado operations building notable projects such as the Broadmoor Hotel renovation and expansion, Cherry Creek North Clayton Lane development, the Denver Art Museum, Stapleton redevelopment, University of Colorado Health Science Center at Fitzsimmons.

To fulfill his passion for development and dream of creating a more efficient process for delivering construction projects, Tim took the entrepreneurial leap in June 2006. Tim formed Confluence Builders, LLC, a firm focused on integrating development, design, and construction into one seamless and efficient delivery process. His company has provided design-build services for the Denver School for Science and Technology, full service project management for the Four Seasons Denver Hotel and Private Residences – the largest private development in Denver’s history and full service construction and development services for numerous mixed-use projects.

Confluence Builders, LLC launched a sister company, Confluence Companies, LLC in 2010 – a real estate development and investment company focused on Creating Exceptional Places® for people to live, work, and play.  Confluence Companies, LLC is develops multifamily apartment projects and other complimentary urban infill mixed-use projects.  Confluence’s completed properties tend to be long-term holds in exceptional locations.  In the past 4 years, Confluence has developed and built more than $140 million of projects and has over $175 million of project currently in development.  With the completed properties and those in progress, Confluence Companies will own 1,108 Class A luxury apartment units.

Tim has served on various boards in metro Denver and is an active Board Member with Junior Achievement and Denver Kids, Inc.
