Every building has the potential to be better for the environment, better for people and better for the bottom line. Tom helps building owners and design teams unlock that potential and value through high performance design.

Working at the intersection of architecture and engineering, Tom specializes in regenerative design outcomes, such as zero energy, one water and healthy interior environments. As an early pioneer in zero energy, Tom worked on the first large scale zero energy office buildings on the NREL campus. He has continued to grow this expertise with many high performance buildings at a range of scales, building types and geographies. Tom has also authored, “Net Zero Energy Design,” the leading book on the topic, published by Wiley.

Tom is an Associate Principal and Senior Sustainability Consultant at Integral Group, an interactive global network of design professionals collaborating under a single deep green engineering umbrella.
